Within walking distance to Kenny Lake,  Kenny Lake Mercantile and a walking/bicycle path, that will take you to the Kenny Lake Library.

Short drive to the top of the Edgerton Highway to Pippin Lake Gift Shop and tool rentals, on the way view the little log cabin that once was the rhodehouse for Kenny Lake, and the Community Hall and Fairgrounds.

Travel South to see Worthington Glacier, Keystone Canyon, Valdez and maybe go halibut fishing, or take a diner cruise to see calving glaciers and the ocean wildlife (whales, otters, puffins, seabirds that nest in the rocks along the fjords).

Traveling North to Copper Center and Glennallen, take in the scenery that the copper miners took from Chitna (Chitina) to get to Glennallen.

Traveling East to Liberty Falls (new bridge completed across Liberty Creek), Fishing in 3 Mile Lake (for burbers, rainbow trout), Chitina (Chitna). See where the CR&NW rail station (for the Copper Rush) was and how it turned around at Town Lake during that time and then travel through the cut in the rock and see the native way of fishing with the Fishwheels. You can continue on to McCarthy and the Kennicott Copper Mine (59 miles of 35-40 mph rough bumpy road).
